The Drekanda is a sacred individual in [[Heritage:Fjallmenn|Fjallmenn]] society. It is not a rank that one can achieve through hard work or dedication, but rather one that is granted upon proof that a person can shapeshift into the form of a [[Creature:Dragon|dragon]]. It is believed that [[Deity:Nalieth|Elduranda]] blesses the Fjallmenn people with the Drekanda, an avatar of himself, in their greatest time of need.
