Fence
Fences are criminals that receive goods that were obtained in an illicit manner and resell them for a profit. They typically pay a percentage of what they assume the item will sell for to the thief that brings them the item, with the intention to sell the item for a far greater price. Fences who are not aligned with the Invisible Union generally obtain their goods directly from thieves, while those who are aligned with the Union only obtain the goods after multiple intermediaries have properly laundered it for them. This results in Union fences being able to sell goods in different areas than where they were originally stolen from and for a much, much higher price than a fence who is not aligned with the Union could sell for.
