Maleficence
Maleficence is considered the "lower" realm, situated below the Mortalis. It is known to be home of the deities of Shadow, the Skia Veldrane, who act in direct opposition to the deities of Light, the Aetherials. Many mortals believe that if they are bad, heretical people who worship the Skia Veldrane, they will be taken into Maleficence upon their death, where they will live in terror for eternity.
Maleficence is believed to have been created by Kala-o, the Primordial Shadow, when the universe was first created.
