Aetherials

Aetherials, also known as the Makers, are powerful deities that reside in Celestia. Each one rules over a realm of their own creation. By and large, they all generally enjoy engaging with the sapient life forms of the Mortalis, usually to make their lives more enjoyable. They exist in direct opposition to the Skia Veldrane who reside in Maleficence.

Origin and Purpose

Not much is known about where the Aetherials came from. They are believed to have been created in the dawn of time by Nalieth, the Primordial Light. The purpose of the Aetherials is understood to be a role of protection. They are thought to have been created before the Skia Veldrane to maintain peace within the Mortalis, but now serve the greater role of protecting mortals from the forces of evil that plague their lives.

Members

There are 7 Aetherials that are currently known to the people of Zyrkthraan:

  • Eril, the Philosopher, with power over logic and ingenuity,
  • Magr, the Moon, with power over love, relationships, and family,
  • Mezl, the Accountant, with power over labor and finances,
  • Mora, the Mother, with power over nature and the beings within,
  • Tara, the Enlightened, with power over success, enlightenment, and spiritual power,
  • Thom, the Father, Creator of Mortal Life, with power over Life and Death, and
  • Rhadn, the Judge, with power over justice and equality,

It is commonly thought that Thom is not only the oldest of the Aetherials, but is also their leader. Magr is known to be his daughter, and the others occupy other ranks below them. It is also believed that most of the Zephyli directly serve specific Aetherials and that they are intrinsically linked to their realm.
