Harmonic Apprentice Exam
The harmonic apprentice exam is a test given every 20 years to Duuema 100 years old or older, if they opt into taking it. The exam serves as a meritocratic method of determining who among the citizens has the knowledge and skills to become a harmonic artificer. Those who pass the exam have their scores sent to the Harmonic Council, where the masters thereof analyze the scores and use them to choose their next apprentice. Only 8 people can be chosen to serve as apprentices on the Council, with everyone else encouraged to retake the exam in 20 years.
