Mindweave
Mindweave is a harmonic spell used exclusively by the Duuema people to contact each other over long distances. There are many different forms of the spell, with some allowing brief contact with a single other person and others allowing extensive contact with a group of people.
Uses
Mindweave spells have many applications. They can be used to:
- contact a single other person for a brief period of time in order to relay a message
- contact a single other person for an extended period of time in order to relay a longer message
- string multiple single instances together via a center point, typically a person responsible for the group, in order to simultaneously contact multiple people at once either for a brief or extended period of time
- create a visible harmony-based image of oneself in a target location in order to address a crowd
with additional uses depending on what aspects are needed.
Mindweave is used the most by members of the established military, including the city and royal guard corps. The captain serves as the center of the Mindweave connection and all communication passed through them before being passed to the rest of the force. When used in this manner, the Mindweave connection will be broken if the center is lost, either through death or becoming unconscious.
In Media
While Mindweave is not yet seen in the series, Rhzoreck describes it a bit in Monarch of the Lost: The Beginning when speaking to the drekanda in Chapter 14.
