Master
A master is a person who has gained enough experience in a specific profession to train others in that profession. The method of becoming a master varies across different cultures, with some trusting someone's self-labeling as a master while others require physical documentation regarding such a statement.
Examples include:
- Those who teach at the University of Arcane Knowledge must prove competence in casting Sage level spells to validate their mastery of their chosen discipline
- In Duuema society, individuals must prove their competence in their chosen profession by passing a rigorous examination, typically performed by a leading council. If they pass, they are granted a Mastery Certification that permits them to do their profession without direct oversight
- In Faren civilization, anyone can claim to be a master of anything. However, society does not take kindly to those who lie about their abilities, and someone who endangers others by misconstruing their level of expertise will be dealt with harshly
