Rockberry
Rockberries are large, round berries that are blue in color. They are distinct for being sour when first tasted, but transitioning to sweet as they are eaten. The berries grow from the Rockberry bush, which will only grow in rocky terrain, hence the name.
Habitat
Rockberry bushes are found almost exclusively in Anhres, although they have been found in parts of Vinhia. The bushes only grow in very rocky terrain, so they are found in places such as the foot of the Flycat Mountains and the Sharpfang Mountains. They do not seem to be bothered by changes in temperature, proving to be rather hardy plants that can keep themselves alive so long as they are growing within rocky terrain.
Uses
Rockberry bushes typically consist of thick, gnarled wood that is difficult to work with. Most woodworkers do not have need for it, so the plants themselves are typically left alone. however, the Rockberries that are produced are part of many different dishes, especially within Fjallmenn culture. One of the most popular uses for them is in breakfasts, with the berries being added to cereals and baked goods to add a bit of flavor.
