Apprentice
An apprentice is a person who works under the direction of someone more experienced, such as a master, usually with the intention of learning everything about their trade in order to become a master themself. An apprentice usually has all basic expenses paid for by their master. They may also reside in the same home as their master, depending on cultural norms, availability of space, and personal preference.
Masters typically choose apprentices based on several factors, all of which are personal to the master. These may include a person's native culture, previous experience in the field, and previous connection to the apprentice.
