Skia Veldrane, also known as Malefic Lords or Shadow Masters, are powerful deities that reside in Maleficence. Each one rules over a realm of their own creation. By and large, they all generally enjoy engaging with the sapient life forms of the Mortalis, usually to make their lives more miserable. They exist in direct opposition to the Aetherials who reside in Celestia.

Members

There are 11 Skia Veldrane that are currently known to the people of Zyrkthraan:

• Astkalthen, Lady of Loss, who may soothe aching souls
• Eldrimor, Fürst of Famine, who can bring starvation to the most fruitful villages
• Ezethion and Ezethia, Nomarch of Knowledge and Vicereine of Visions, one who holds forbidden secrets and one who holds the future in her mind
• Helianare, Optio of Outcasts, who shelters those that society has turned away from
• Marekeh, Baron of Bargains, who will trade a diamond for dirt
• Morovath, Consul of Conflict, who starts wars without speaking
• Nethma-Kabethro, Roju of Regret, who can reset your life on a whim
• Nyxal, Navarch of Nightmares, who strikes fear even in one's sleep
• Skarn, Shah of Storms, who can conjure a hurricane with a drop of water
• Umbrex, Despot of Destruction, who engulfs the world in flame
• Vorathil, Archon of Ambition, who can give you all you aspire for... For a price

Origin and Purpose

Not much is known about where the Skia Veldrane came from. They are believed to have been created in the dawn of time by Kala-o, the Primordial Shadow.

The purpose of the Skia Veldrane is not entirely known. It is understood that they were created to be opposition to the Aetherials, to be the forces of evil that would counteract the forces of good. It is unknown if they have a greater role in the Mortalis.
