The city is considered to be an intricately designed labyrinth by all modern Duuema scholars. Like the city, the palace of Vouudakfel is also comprised of confusing passageways. Unlike the city, though, the palace contains two separate methods of traversing the halls. While most individuals would have passed through the larger hallways, there are also extremely narrow and claustrophobic passages within the very walls. These passageways are accessible through similarly small doors and seem to cover most of the palace. During their mapping project, the cartographers ventured into these areas and successfully mapped out where the passages laid and which of the numerous doors inside the palace led to each one. However, they were unable to account for the segments of the routes that seemed to pass through doorways, as the paths never changed altitude nor did they contain any dead-ends. It is assumed that the Duuema built the passageways and then affixed doors that would somehow part the stone walls in order to open, likely using their traditional magic that is now extinct.

Vouudakfel is the capital city of the Duuema on the island of Vethrala. The Duuema believe the city was built at the beginning of the Exordium by the first Duuema to descend from Celestia. It is built within the primary volcano on the island, with the royal palace having direct access to the caldera. It contains 6 distinct areas: the Royal Quarter, Market District, King's Quarter, Merchant's District, Old Quarter, and the Foreign Quarter. Much of the city was destroyed by the volcanic eruptions that resulted from the events of Starfall.
