Ancestors
The Ancestors are a group of people who the Duuema revere. They are considered the people that were responsible for many things in Duuema society, especially the things that they hold most dear.
Origin and Purpose
The Ancestors were once real people who lived on Vethrala in the Exordium. They lived their lives virtuously, upholding specific principles and teaching those principles to others. Upon leaving the Mortalis, they became saints and were held as the origin of the principles they taught.
Before the Vanishment, the Duuema had various different ways to worship them. The people took guidance from their teachings and used them to shape their own behavior. The primary purpose was to build a society that embodied the virtues the Ancestors taught, in order for things to be predictable.

Monarch of the Lost: The Beginning
The Ancestors are only briefly mentioned in Novel:The Beginning:
- In Chapter 6, when Rhzoreck briefly explains Duuema religion to Calen
- In Chapter 10, when Rhzoreck mentions the Ancestors to Amaeus
However, Jagramar and Rhzoreck both use "the Ancestors" as an interjection as well:
- In the Prologue, in Jagramar's journal
- In Chapter 1, when Rhzoreck first sees the harmonic synchronizer
