Profile
Amaeus is a scholar noted for his detailed research methods. While typical scholars observe things from a distance, he enjoys fully immersing himself into whatever culture he wishes to learn about. He is particularly interested in lost cultures, such as the Zyrkari, Nivalii, and especially the Duuema.

Background
Amaeus was born in Halia, but moved to Anhres at a very young age. His parents, researchers that had grown fond of Fjallmenn culture, moved to Shitaovriki and brought him along. There he grew up around the Fjallmic youth, where he learned everything he could about their way of life. Having spent most of his life around the Fjallmenn, Aurilore culture was strange and alien to him. Once he was old enough to go out on his own, he attended the University of Arcane Knowledge to learn more about magic. Later, after he graduated, he dedicated his life to venturing across the land and researching each and every culture he possibly could. He has since written many books concerning the various cultures of Zyrkthraan.
The Harmonic Era
During year 902 of the Harmonic Era, Amaeus was residing in Shitaovriki, taking a brief repose from his travels as a sort of vacation. His intermission was interrupted when Rhzoreck arrived, though, with the other man drawing him out of his home and pulling him into the ruins of Vouukjng-zel. After Rhzoreck shared his plans with him, he agreed to help him obtain the Harmonic Triad and Kavrenthak's planbook and journals. After a nearly fruitless outing to the University, he assigned himself the role of corresponding with Equae, a fence, and funding the requests for the artifacts.
He continued to be of assistance in other, small matters, such as building automalia to help clean out the city of Vouukjng-zel. For the most part, though, he opted to stay out of the way while Rhzoreck and Calen worked.
